It is not only the type of window that matters, but also its correct installation. Whether our house will be sufficiently energy-efficient depends, among other things, on the direction it faces, the size and positioning of the windows, as well as their parameters.

 

The analysis of the energy balance of single-family buildings presented in the “Good Practice Handbook” prepared by the National Fund for Environmental Protection and Water Management (NFOŚiGW) shows that heat losses, for which windows are “responsible”, reach 23.1-36.3%.
